About SciFinder

Scifinder Scholar is a comprehensive database covering chemistry literature back to 1907. It includes journal articles, book chapters, patents, conference proceedings, technical reports, and dissertations.

From the CAS website: "SciFinder® retrieves information contained in databases produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) as well as in the MEDLINE® database of the National Library of Medicine (NLM)."

Accessing SciFinder

In order to use SciFinder, you must register an account from a campus IP address (academic quad or residence hall).  Fill out the form completely and pay special attention to the rules for creating your password.  You may register your account by visiting this site from a campus IP:
