Citing government information can be challenging. Sometimes, information considered vital when working with a traditional style manual is missing or obscured. Because of the great diversity found under the spectrum of "government publications" the style manuals only provide loose guidelines for authors. It may be in a student's best interest to consult with a librarian or their instructor when trying to cite a government publication.
