How Course Reserves Work for Students

Course Reserves are course-related materials made available, either electronically or physically, through the Roberta A. Smith University Library. Items that may be on reserve for a class include: books, videos, course readers, textbooks, ebooks, articles, book chapters, journal articles, recordings, class handouts, and information. Materials borrowed through OhioLINK or OPAL or ILL may not be put on reserve.

The "Services for Students" page explains how students can access course reserves.

The "Services for Faculty and Staff" page has links for instructors with the online forms to submit course reserves materials.

Submit Print Reserves

Faculty may put library-owned books, personal copy books, article photocopies, DVDs, or other teaching materials on reserve for student use during the semester.
